It has been several years since I posted a blog so I want to not waste more time especially since there are exciting things that are happening this year for Bao Linh Art. We have two new organizations that we are supporting in Drive 4 Change and NorCal Adaptive Golf Club (NAGC). I serve as a board member for Drive 4 Change and Club President for NAGC. This year will focus on growing awareness and driving support in order to achieve our goals in supporting youth and individuals with disabilities. You can help by purchasing my art prints and art cards. Since my last post, so much has happened in the world around us and if I am honest, the world feels less safe. As a first generation immigrant and refugee of war, I am concerned every time I leave my home. With the latest unrest caused by ICE, I am bringing my passport in case I get pulled over. Living as a minority woman with a physical disability makes me a prime target. This is why I gravitate to having an active life. What a privilege this platform provides the ability to support amazing work being done in my community helping youth with disabilities. The black and white photo below is the view from my balcony. For me it represents a new day of possibilities giving me new purpose. I invite you to join me and reach out if you want to get involved or have any questions. Click on “contact” in the upper right corner and I would love to chat more! May God richly bless you with peace and hope…with splashes of laugher and joy added on top. I refuse to let go of joy. Even in the darkness of life, there is a ray of light. xoxo
